We could see the water table simply by looking in the open sump. Most of the year the water pooled up into our basement. We saved our nickels and went with Basement Technologies. We had an issue late one evening, were more than willing to send a technician out but they were able to talk my husband through it. The battery backup system only lasts a certain number of hours.  When the power went out in our town for three days, of course the basement flooded again. Now they sell home generators. Brilliant. We only see them once a year during an annual service call and they’re always friendly and knowledgeable over the phone and in person.
